BRIAN HATHAWAY Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts Senior Director of Spas, Middle East and Asia Pacific

Brian Hathaway is the Senior Director of Spas for Four Seasons Middle East and Asia Pacific, his scope of responsibility includes overseeing spa operations for Four Seasons properties across both regions.

Hathaway joined the Four Seasons team in 2005, as Director of Spas at Four Seasons Resorts Bali Jimbaran Bay and Bali in Sayan, Indonesia. In 2008, he was promoted to Senior Director of Spas Asia Pacific, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, the same year in which he was awarded the title of Distinguished Industry Leader at the SpaAsia Crystal Awards.

Hathaway’s 15-year career in the spa and wellness industry has been punctuated by several remarkable achievements, with more than 50 countries of travel behind him. He served as a profit task force leader on the Asia Pacific Spa and Wellness Coalition – a volunteer committee dedicated to raising the standards of spas within 41 Asian countries. He has also worked with Cornell University and the University of Houston to devise modules for the first ever spa manager degree at Bali’s STP University in Nusa Dua.

Prior to joining Four Seasons, Hathaway worked in the spa, health and fitness industry in his native USA. His favourite therapy is Watsu, a combination of energy and body work, performed in the water.
