Seventh year in running, the Wellness Summit is unquestionably the leading and pivotal event for the Wellness and Spa Industry in Asia Pacific. Held annually, the Wellness Summit brings together the world’s leading innovative thinkers, expert minds, industry leaders and inspirational practitioners, and encourages thought provoking interactive debate about some of today’s most relevant challenges. The aim is to translate new ideas and knowledge into practical change; to empower and lead the wellness movement together to create a momentum for sustainable transformation. The Wellness Summit is more than a conference; it is a platform where wellness meets—it is an experience.
The Wellness Summit 2011 concluded, as the two-day event saw industry leaders and great minds come together in sharing and delivering priceless knowledge and information. Described as perhaps a forward thinking event thus far, the Wellness Summit 2011 carried the theme Integrating Wellness : Aligning Industries, Expanding Boundaries, a timely topic most relevant in moving ahead where insights into the uncharted territory of corporate wellness was deliberated.
Held for the first time at an academic establishment —Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore—an entirely innovative concept that befitted its theme this year. This year’s event marks the seventh edition and sought to explore various ways for the industry to stay sustainable, relevant and profitable through integrating wellness.
The Wellness Summit 2011 was hosted by master of ceremony Lee Stephens, managing director of Sol Spa Services, and saw the participation of esteemed personalities in the spa, holistic, health, lifestyle medical (anti-ageing) and corporate wellness facilitators industries.
Over the course of two power-packed days, the Wellness Summit 2011 programme included three tracks – spa & wellness, corporate wellness forum and the exclusive students tracks – with more than 20 sessions of powerful and inspiring sessions, all aimed at empowerment and inspiration. This year’s programme took on a refreshing additional new format, as it addressed a new market with the launched of the Corporate Wellness Forum initiatives.

Meals catered from Dapao by Christina Crane was a hit, featuring food prepared from scratch – local, sustainable and healthy food presented in the form of yummy wraps. Above all, biodegradable cutlery and wrap papers that are compostable were used, thus minimizing waste and promotes eco-friendliness.
